Sanyukt Kisan Morcha calls for Bharat Bandh on Friday, 16 February

The Sanyukt Kisan Morcha has called for a Bharat Bandh (nationwide strike) on Friday, 16 February. The All India Congress Committee has extended its support to this strike. The call for the strike comes as a part of the ongoing protest against the three farm laws introduced by the central government.

Protesters demand repeal of controversial farm laws

The protesters are demanding the repeal of the three controversial farm laws that were passed by the Indian government last year. They believe that these laws will negatively impact the farming community and give more power to corporate entities in the agricultural sector. The farmers have been protesting for several months now, demanding that their voices be heard and their concerns addressed.

Previous attempts to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful

Efforts to resolve the issue through negotiations between the government and the farmers’ unions have not been successful. Multiple rounds of talks have taken place, but no concrete resolution has been reached. The farmers remain steadfast in their demand for the complete repeal of the farm laws and are determined to continue their protest until their demands are met.

Nationwide strike expected to have significant impact

The Bharat Bandh called by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha is expected to have a significant impact across the country. Various trade unions, political parties, and social organizations have extended their support to the strike. It is anticipated that the strike will affect transportation, businesses, and other daily activities, as people come together to express solidarity with the farmers and their cause.
