In Begusarai, Bihar, criminals once again demanded a ransom of five lakh rupees. However, when the victim’s family refused to pay the ransom, the angry criminals entered their home and brutally beat the entire family with sticks, rods, and iron rods, causing serious injuries. After this incident, panic spread in the area. All the injured were admitted to Baliah PHC for treatment. Seeing the serious condition, the doctors referred all the injured to Begusarai Sadar Hospital. The incident took place near Chhoti Baliah Patel Chowk in the Baliah Thana area.
According to information, all the injured people were identified as Kamal Kishor Das, his wife Madhu Kumari, and their son Krishna Kumar, residents of Chhoti Baliah Patel Chowk. Injured Kamal Kishor Das said that the criminals had entered their house and demanded a ransom of five lakh rupees. When we refused to pay the ransom, they brutally beat us with sticks, rods, and iron rods.
The victim Kamal Kishor Das said that a few days ago, he had bought a piece of land near Baliah Patel Chowk. After buying the land, the criminals were continuously demanding a ransom of five lakh rupees. When we refused to pay the ransom, they threatened to kill us. Suddenly, seven criminals entered our house and demanded a ransom of five lakh rupees. When we refused to pay, they attacked us.
The victim’s family informed the police at Baliah Thana about the incident. After receiving the information, the police reached the scene and sent all the injured to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for treatment. The in-charge of Baliah Thana informed that a case of assault has been registered in connection with this incident. Currently, the police are investigating the entire matter.
