Ritesh Kumar turns waste into best, creates demand for unique cup

Ritesh Kumar, a resident of Navgachiya, has proven that everything received from nature is invaluable. By turning waste material into a unique cup, he has become a topic of discussion among people. The cups, made from discarded materials like sugarcane leftovers, rice husk, wood shavings, orange peels, banana leaves, and stems, are gaining popularity due to their affordable price and sweetening effect on tea.

Inspiration and Demand for the Eco-friendly Cup

Ritesh revealed that the idea for the cup came to him when a friend in their study group challenged him to do something productive while they were studying together. This led Ritesh to research and discover the concept of creating cups from waste materials. The cups have gained demand in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha, with their affordability being a major attraction for consumers.

Environmental Benefits and Disposal of the Cup

Ritesh emphasized that the cups are not harmful to the environment as they are made from natural materials. The cups can keep tea hot for up to 30 minutes and then self-dispose, reducing waste accumulation. The easy disposal of the cups prevents environmental harm and ensures convenience for users. However, the cups cannot be left in water for more than 2-3 minutes as they start to deteriorate, but they can hold hot beverages for half an hour.
