JDU calls for core committee meeting amid political turmoil in Bihar
The Janta Dal United (JDU) has called for a meeting of its core committee, which will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Patna this evening at 3:00 PM. All top leaders of the party are expected to attend the meeting. It is being speculated that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may resign after this meeting. Meanwhile, the arrival of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh at the Raj Bhavan has intensified the political upheaval in the state.
Former JDU president Lalan Singh has been continuously calling his party MPs and asking them to reach Patna as soon as possible. It is reported that after these instructions, JDU MPs will reach Patna by this evening.
Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde has also arrived in Patna. It is said that he has come to Patna to oversee the new political developments in Bihar. He stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar Pradesh Working Committee is a meeting of all MPs and MLAs. The party has decided at the national level how the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in Bihar. The discussion today will focus on what MPs need to do in their respective constituencies and what MLAs need to do.
