JD(U) issues whip during floor test
The Janata Dal United (JD(U)), the party of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has issued a whip. It has been stated by the JD(U) that the whip has been issued to ensure the presence of all party MLAs during the floor test to gain the confidence of the newly formed NDA government.
What is happening before the floor test of the Nitish Kumar government today?
The Mahagathbandhan government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to end and the National Democratic Alliance government, which will take oath in the state on Monday, February 12, has to prove its majority in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Before this floor test, there is a tense atmosphere among the national parties Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, as well as the regional parties Janata Dal United and Rashtriya Janata Dal. The Congress has gathered its MLAs in Hyderabad, who are likely to stay in Patna today. The RJD has kept its MLAs confined to the Tejashwi residence. The BJP is providing knowledge to its MLAs in Bodh Gaya, while the JD(U) is holding a meeting in Patna under the pretext of unity.
