Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will seek a vote of confidence for the Mahagathbandhan government in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Monday. The first day of the two-day session will begin with the Governor’s speech, followed by the Chief Minister presenting the motion of confidence in the Council of Ministers under Rule 139 of the Assembly’s proceedings. There will be a debate between the ruling and opposition parties on this proposal, followed by voting.
After camping in Hyderabad for three days, the 36 legislators of the ruling coalition returned to Ranchi on Sunday evening via a special aircraft. They have been staying together in a circuit house in the capital and will reach the Assembly together in the morning.
The components of the ruling coalition have issued separate whips regarding the upcoming vote on Monday. JMM’s main secretary Nalin Soren and Congress have instructed their legislators to be present in the Assembly. All the legislators will vote on the motion of confidence.
JMM legislator Lobin Hembram announced during a press conference in Ranchi that he will vote in support of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s government. Hemant Soren will also participate in the voting. JMM legislator Ramdas Soren will not be able to attend the session due to being in Delhi for kidney transplantation. According to JMM General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey, all 48 members of the Mahagathbandhan, including JMM, Congress, RJD, and JVM, will participate in the voting.
Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested by ED officials in a land scam on January 31. He resigned from the Chief Minister’s post after that. The claim to form a government under the leadership of Champai Soren, leader of the Mahagathbandhan legislative party, was presented before the Governor. According to Champai’s claim, they will easily obtain a majority. The necessary number for a majority is the support of more than 41 out of 47 legislators and signed consent letters from 43 members.
It is claimed by JMM that the Champai government will have the support of 48 legislators in the Assembly. Legislator Ramdas Soren is admitted to a hospital in Delhi and will not be able to attend. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, “We will not let the lamp lit by our Hemant Babu be extinguished at any cost. You can plot thousands of conspiracies, but our government will continue to work for the welfare of the tribals, indigenous people, Dalits, and common people of Jharkhand.”
झारखंड विधानसभा में मंगलवार को होने वाले महागठबंधन सरकार के लिए मुख्यमंत्री चंपाई सोरेन विश्वासमत हासिल करेंगे। इस सत्र में पहले दिन राज्यपाल का भाषण होगा और उसके बाद मुख्यमंत्री चंपाई सोरेन मंत्रिपरिषद में विश्वास प्रस्ताव रखेंगे। वाद-विवाद के बाद मतदान होगा। सत्ता पक्ष के 36 विधायक रांची लौट आए हैं और सभी विधायक साथ में ही विधानसभा पहुंचेंगे। महागठबंधन के घटक दलों ने अलग-अलग व्हिप जारी किया है और सभी विधायक पक्ष में मतदान करेंगे। झामुमो के विधायक लोबिन हेम्ब्रम ने सरकार के समर्थन में वोट करने का ऐलान किया है और रामदास सोरेन वोटिंग में शामिल होंगे। झामुमो के विधायक रामदास सोरेन की स्थिति दिल्ली के अस्पताल में भर्ती होने के कारण अच्छी नहीं है। मुख्यमंत्री चंपाई सोरेन ने दावा किया है कि वे आदिवासियों, मूलवासियों, दलितों और आम झारखंडियों के हित में काम करती रहेगी।
