Jharkhand experienced its coldest day of the season on 26th January, with the minimum temperature in Ranchi city reaching 6.6 degrees Celsius. Other districts in the state recorded minimum temperatures ranging between three to seven degrees. However, the minimum temperature in Ranchi increased to 9.9 degrees Celsius the following day, with a slight increase in other districts as well.

According to the weather department, there was some improvement in the weather on Saturday, with a decrease in the minimum temperature. Sunday is also expected to be cool, although it may be slightly chilly in the morning.

On Friday, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 22.9 degrees Celsius, which increased to 24.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Other cities also saw an increase in temperatures, with Medininagar recording 26.4 degrees Celsius and Jamshedpur recording 27.0 degrees Celsius.

The next three days are expected to be sunny, with both the minimum and maximum temperatures increasing. However, the weather is expected to change again after this period.

According to weather scientist Abhishek Anand, the recent cold weather in Ranchi was due to the northerly winds. However, there has been a slight decrease in the wind speed, resulting in an increase in temperatures. The days are now becoming sunny, which will lead to a decrease in cold for the next three days.
