Jharkhand is expected to experience relief from the hot weather and heat from Monday as a result of light rain with clouds and thunderstorms, leading to a drop in maximum temperatures by up to four degrees in areas like Ranchi, Santal Pargana, and Kolhan.
Weather Update on Rainfall
According to Abhishek Anand, a scientist at the Ranchi Meteorological Department, the process of forming cyclonic circulation above the Terai region of West Bengal and Assam has begun. This will bring changes in the weather in Jharkhand, with the possibility of light rain accompanied by strong winds in some areas. He mentioned that there are chances of rainfall in various parts of the state from May 8 to May 10.
Heatwave Alert in Several Districts Today
As per the weather department, a heatwave alert is in effect in some districts like Godda, Pakur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, East and West Singhbhum, and Saraikela on Sunday. The maximum temperature recorded in Saraikela was 43 degrees Celsius, while in Ranchi, it was 38.4 degrees Celsius.
