Jharkhand Weather Update
The weather in Jharkhand has turned hot again since Monday, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in seven districts. The increase in temperature is due to local factors, as there is no external influence of warm winds coming from the west in Jharkhand.
Temperature to Reach 43 Degrees
The maximum temperature in Jharkhand is expected to reach 43 degrees in the next four days, with a gradual rise in mercury levels across various districts. Currently, the temperature ranges between 34 to 39 degrees in most parts of the state.
Above Normal Rainfall Expected
The Meteorological Department has forecasted above-normal rainfall in Jharkhand this year. The possibility of rainfall ranging from 102 to 111 percent between June and September is anticipated. The onset of monsoon is expected to bring a shift in weather conditions in the state.
Monsoon Forecast and Historical Data
The weather scientist predicts a change in monsoon patterns due to the effects of La Niña in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. This shift is expected to result in increased rainfall in Jharkhand and the rest of the country. Historical data shows that Jharkhand has experienced only one instance of above-normal rainfall since 2013, with the monsoon season in 2016 recording a slight increase in precipitation.
