STF and Gopalganj Police Arrest Hardcore Naxalite in Joint Operation
In a joint operation, the Bihar STF and Gopalganj Police have arrested hardcore Naxalite Samir Dangi. Dangi, who hails from Gaya district, was found in possession of a country-made pistol, 1.28 kilograms of opium, and a stolen bike. Apart from being involved in three Naxal attacks in Aurangabad and Gaya districts, Dangi also has two cases registered under the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).
Role of Samir Dangi in Murder of Fulguni Panchayat Mukhiya
According to SDPO Pranjal Tripathi, Samir Dangi was apprehended while engaging in the buying and selling of opium near Dala in Harkhua area of Gopalganj. Dangi had played a role in the murder of Fulguni Panchayat Mukhiya Mohammad Quraish. He was residing in Siwan and Gopalganj, carrying out criminal activities.
Police Conducting Raids to Locate Associates and Provide Shelter to Naxalite
After the arrest of the hardcore Naxalite, police are conducting raids to identify other criminals associated with him. Dangi has been presented in court amidst tight security and then sent to jail under heavy police guard. Police hope that his arrest will lead to a decrease in criminal incidents.
