**Bharat Ratna Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan**
The Bharat Ratna ceremony will be held today at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Draupadi Murmu will honor five personalities of the country with the Bharat Ratna award. Apart from former Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, four other personalities (former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, Narasimha Rao, former CM Karpoori Thakur, and agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan) will be posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna. The medals and certificates will be handed over to the families of the honored personalities.
**Historic Moment for Bihar**
Former Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur will be awarded the Bharat Ratna today. Ram Nath Thakur will accept the honor on behalf of his father from the President. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also be present at the ceremony. The announcement of awarding the Bharat Ratna posthumously was made on January 23, which was also the 100th birth anniversary of Karpoori Thakur.
