Bihar witnessed a major administrative reshuffle on Friday amidst political turmoil. A total of 45 Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers and 22 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers were transferred. Among the officers who were transferred is Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, who had clashed with the Education Department’s Additional Chief Secretary, KK Pathak, over school holidays. Singh has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Additionally, top-ranking officer Kapil Ashok will now be the new District Magistrate (DM) of Patna. Transfers were also made in departments such as Home and Finance. The General Administration Department has issued a notification regarding these transfers.
Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, who was the District Magistrate of Patna, has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Kapil Ashok, the top-ranking officer, will now be the new DM of Patna. Naval Kishor Chaudhary, the DM of Gopalganj, will now serve as the DM of Bhagalpur. Subrat Kumar Sen, the District Officer of Bhagalpur, will be the new DM of Muzaffarpur. The Chief Secretary’s Private Secretary, Mo. Masood Alam, will now be the DM of Gopalganj. These IAS officers have also been transferred.
Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, will remain in charge until further orders as the Principal Secretary of the Rural Development Department. Santil Kumar, the Principal Secretary of the Home Department, will remain as the Principal Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department until further orders. Pankaj Kumar, the Principal Secretary of the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Health Engineering Department. Safina A.N., the Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department, has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of the Revenue Council, Patna.
N. Sarvan Kumar, the Secretary of the Rural Development Department, will now be the Secretary of the Food and Consumer Protection Department. Deepak Anand, the Director of the Food and Consumer Protection Department, has been appointed as the Secretary (Expenditure) of the Finance Department. Manoj Kumar, the Commissioner of the Purnia Division, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department. Mohd. Sohel, the Secretary of the General Administration Department, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department. Pranav Kumar, the Saharsa Divisional Commissioner, will now serve as the Secretary of the Home Department. Neelam Choudhary, the Director of the Future Fund Directorate, has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Kosi Mandal, Saharsa.
Sanjay Dubey, the Secretary of the Rural Works Department, will now be the Divisional Commissioner of Purnia. Himanshu Kumar Rai, the Special Secretary of the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Planning and Development Department. Rahul Kumar, the Chief Executive Officer of the Livelihoods Promotion Officer, has been appointed as the Director of the Bihar Museum. Jay Prakash Singh, the Deputy Director of the Chief Minister’s Advisory Fund, has been appointed as the Director of the Future Fund Directorate. Vishal Raj, the Director of the Technical Development and Industry Department, has been given additional charge as the State Transport Commissioner. Anil Kumar, the Project Director of the AIDS Control Society, has been appointed as the Director of the Jal Jivan Hariyali, Rural Development Department.

शुक्रवार को बिहार में सियासी हलचल के बीच प्रशासनिक फेरबदल किया गया है। बिहार प्रशासनिक सेवा (BAS) के 45 और भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (IAS) के 22 अधिकारियों का तबादला किया गया है। इसमें स्कूल की छुट्टी को लेकर शिक्षा विभाग के अपर मुख्य सचिव केके पाठक से भिड़ने वाले डॉ चंद्रशेखर सिंह का नाम भी है। चंद्रशेखर सिंह को मुख्यमंत्री सचिवालय के विशेष सचिव के पद पर पदस्थापित किया गया है। इसके अलावा कई अन्य विभागों के सचिवों का भी ट्रांसफर किया गया है। इस बड़े फेरबदल के संबंध में सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग ने एक अधिसूचना जारी की है।
