Sunidhi Shahi, a cricketer from Gopalganj, is one such woman who is overcoming all obstacles to fulfill her dreams. After the selection of Mukesh Kumar from Gopalganj in the Indian team, there has been a new wave of energy among the cricketers here, and Sunidhi Shahi is one of them who has been consistently performing well in cricket.
A Passion for Cricket
Sunidhi Shahi, a resident of Chainpur village in Hothua block of Gopalganj district, currently resides in Pune and works a job. She has had a passion for cricket since childhood. Her father used to play cricket and would take her to the academy with him. Watching her father play ignited a passion for cricket in Sunidhi’s heart. She started learning the ins and outs of cricket by watching her father play and eventually started practicing during the COVID period to maintain fitness.
Preparation for Indian Team
Sunidhi Shahi mentioned that her father never stopped her from playing cricket and she continued to learn the intricacies of the game alongside her studies. Currently, she is practicing at the Tunna Giri Academy in Gopalganj district and receives great support from her coach. Recently, she was part of the Bihar Women’s Under-23 cricket team and is preparing to join the Indian cricket team by becoming a regular part of the Bihar team.
