Loksabha Election: Bhaakpa Announces Candidates
The Jharkhand unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has released its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The party has announced candidates for four Lok Sabha seats ★Abhay Bhuian from Palamau, Mahendra Uraon from Lohardaga, Arjun Kumar from Chatra, and Rajesh Kumar Kisku from Dumka.
Announcement by Party Leaders
The list was released on Sunday by State Secretary Mahendra Pathak, former MP Bhuvaneshwar Mehta, and National Council member Pramod Kumar Pandey. In 2019, the party had fielded candidates in Hazaribagh, Dumka, and Chatra, but their performance was not outstanding. The candidates have now started campaigning.
Seat Allocation by other Parties
The BJP has announced candidates for 13 seats in the state, with an ally from AJSU Party contesting on one seat. Meanwhile, the Congress has only announced candidates for 3 seats so far. There seems to be some confusion regarding seat sharing in the opposition alliance. The CPI (M) and RJD will field candidates on one seat each.
