Ranchi Lok Sabha Election Update

The notification for the final phase of Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand was released on Tuesday, with the last date for filing nominations being May 14. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on May 15, and withdrawals can be made by May 17. Voting will take place in the Rajmahal, Godda, and Dumka parliamentary constituencies on June 1.

Key Contests in Godda and Dumka

The Godda and Dumka constituencies currently have BJP MPs. However, in Rajmahal, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s Vijay Hansda has been victorious twice. This time, there is a possibility of a direct face-off between BJP’s Nishikant Dubey and Congress’ Pradeep Yadav in Godda, and between BJP’s Sita Soren and JMM’s Nalin Soren in Dumka.

Tough Battle in Rajmahal

The Rajmahal constituency is witnessing a triangular contest, with JMM’s Vijay Hansda being the key candidate. He has won twice from this constituency. The battle in Rajmahal is expected to be intense, with multiple parties vying for victory in this crucial Lok Sabha seat.
