Sultanpur’s Ajgaibinath Dham witnessed lakhs of devotees taking a dip in the Ganges on the occasion of Mouni Amavasya. The entire dham resonated with chants of “Har Har Mahadev”. In particular, thousands of devotees from Mithila region took a dip in the Ganges while observing silence. They carried bamboo poles and chanted “Har Har Mahadev” as they set out on foot and in vehicles to pour water on the Jyotirlinga Shivling in the Bedhnath Dham of Deoghar district.
The devotees performed puja and offered prayers to Lord Bholenath while carrying the bamboo poles. They then embarked on their journey to Deoghar to pour water on the Jyotirlinga Shivling. The devotees also took a dip in the Ganges as part of their religious rituals.
The Nagar Parishad arranged for barricades and boats at the Ganga Ghat for devotees to take the holy dip. The devotees enthusiastically participated in the ritual and immersed themselves in the Ganges.
