Revolutionizing Agriculture with Mobile Technology

Yadunandan Yadav, a farmer from Masoundha village in Gaya district, has introduced a device called Cultivate that allows farmers to irrigate their fields from the comfort of their homes. This device is connected to a motor pump and can be operated through a mobile app, enabling farmers to turn the pump on or off remotely. With Cultivate, farmers no longer need to stay awake all night to operate the pump, making irrigation more efficient and convenient.

Collaboration with NABARD for Smart Farming

Yadunandan Yadav highlighted the support received from NABARD in implementing various initiatives in his village, including the installation of soil moisture sensors in fields and devices in motor pumps for remote operation. This collaboration aims to promote smart agriculture practices and mitigate the impact of climate change on crops. With NABARD’s assistance, farmers in the region are embracing technology to conserve water and improve irrigation management.

Benefits of Cultivate and Mobile-Enabled Farming

The Cultivate device not only simplifies irrigation processes but also contributes to water conservation efforts. By leveraging mobile technology, farmers can monitor and control their motor pumps efficiently. This innovative approach not only saves time but also enhances the overall productivity of small and marginal farmers. With the integration of smart devices and mobile apps in agriculture, Gaya district is witnessing a significant transformation in farming practices, making it more sustainable and resource-efficient.
