Details of the Incident
In Patna, criminals shot and killed a farmer late on Saturday night. The police found the farmer’s body on the banks of a canal in Pagdandi near Ranipur Kurkuri village on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Sukesh Kumar, a 40-year-old resident of Ranipur. The police are investigating the reasons behind the incident.
Background of the Victim
A ward councilor mentioned that Sukesh Kumar used to live in an old house in Ranipur under Fulwari Sharif police station, but a few months ago he built a new house in High Court colony. He had been living there since then. It is said that Sukesh Kumar had been having disputes with his wife for several days.
Family’s Statements
The victim’s relative, Himanshu Kumar, stated that Sukesh Kumar had become addicted to drugs. Due to his addiction, he used to have arguments with his wife and children. Because of this, for the past 10 days, he had been living alone after leaving his wife. When asked about the cause of the incident, he refused to say anything at the moment.
