The name of the station will now be Bharpura Pahleja Ghat and it will also be written on the tickets issued from there. This decision has been made in light of the objection given by the Indian government.
Name Change in Response to Local Demand
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, the area’s Member of Parliament, is the chairman of the parliamentary committee of the Sonpur Mandal. Recently, he chaired a meeting of the committee, which also included general managers, divisional railway managers, and other high-ranking railway officials, to discuss various railway plans in the Mandal region. In response to the demand of the local citizens, the name of the Pahleja Ghat station located in the Sonpur-Sonepur-Patliputra rail section has been changed. It will now be known as Bharpura Pahleja Ghat station.
Efforts to Address Local Concerns
In this context, the MP mentioned that he met with local representatives, including Satyendra Kumar Singh, Rajeshwar Singh, Ram Vinod Singh, Ashok Singh, Rajvallabh Singh, Ranjit Singh, Sanjay Singh, and Vidyanand Singh, who expressed the demand for the station’s name to reflect the special significance of the location. The railway department was contacted in this regard, and the voice of the general public was conveyed to the railway department.
Gratitude to the Railway Minister
Expressing gratitude to the railway minister, the MP stated that he personally took an interest in this matter, and now the station will be known as Bharpura Pahleja Ghat. It should be noted that the name of the station was already written on the signboard, but only a partial name was written on the tickets issued from the station. Now, the complete name of the station, Bharpura Pahleja Ghat, will be indicated.
सोनपुर-पाटलिपुत्र रेलखंड के पहलेजा स्टेशन का नाम बदलकर भरपुरा पहलेजा घाट कर दिया गया है। इसका नाम भरपुरा पहलेजा घाट होगा और यात्रा के टिकट पर भी यही नाम लिखा जाएगा। यह निर्णय भारत सरकार द्वारा दिए गए अनुपालन के आधार पर हुआ है। स्थानीय सांसद राजीव प्रताप रूडी ने समिति की बैठक में इस मांग को लेकर चर्चा की थी और इस संदर्भ में रेल विभाग से संपर्क किया गया था। इससे सांसद और स्थानीय नागरिकों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी क्योंकि अब उनकी मांग पूरी हो गई है।
