BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal helped Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren escape from Delhi through road. Dubey stated that Kejriwal aided Soren in reaching Varanasi and then Soren reached Ranchi with the help of Mithilesh Kumar. However, Kejriwal and Mithilesh Kumar have not responded to Dubey’s statement. Hemant Soren is scheduled to appear before the ED today in Delhi.
Hemant Soren had gone to Delhi by charter plane and was expected to return the same day. The ED team was stationed at the airport. On Monday morning, the ED team reached Soren’s residence in Delhi but he was not found there. The agency seized Rs 36 lakh, two BMW cars, and other documents from the residence.
BJP leader Babulal Marandi in Jharkhand had announced a cash prize of Rs 11,000 to find Soren. Hemant Soren, who was claimed to be missing in Jharkhand, arrived in Ranchi after 40 hours. In the morning, he chaired a meeting of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the ruling coalition’s MLAs. His wife, Kalpana Soren, also attended the meeting. Speculations are rife that Hemant might hand over the Chief Minister position to his wife.
The BJP leader revealed that when Soren was not in Ranchi or Delhi, he was planning his journey from Delhi to Ranchi by road. The distance between Delhi and Ranchi is 1,300 km. Soren arrived in Ranchi on Tuesday. JMM shared a picture of Hemant Soren in response to the BJP’s missing reports. The decisions taken in the late evening meeting of the legislative party were not made public, but sources from JMM claim that Soren wants to hand over his chair to his wife, fearing ED’s interrogation and possible arrest after January 31. He has informed the MLAs about his decision.
