During a puja ceremony in Gaya, a violent clash broke out between two groups, resulting in injuries to around half a dozen people. The injured are receiving treatment at a local government hospital. **Assault During Pooja Ceremony**
The police state that the incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Bharaiti Bazaar of Vajeerganj, where local residents were performing a puja ceremony for Matursini Maan. A dispute arose between individuals from different groups, escalating into a violent clash. Half a dozen people were injured in the altercation and were admitted to the Vajeerganj Primary Health Center for treatment.
**Police Investigation Underway**
After receiving information about the incident, the local police arrived at the scene to calm the situation and conduct an investigation. Following the inquiry, eight individuals involved in the incident were arrested. Due to the seriousness of the matter, the entire area has been converted into a police camp. Senior ASP Ashish Bharti of Gaya informed that a violent clash occurred between two groups in the Bharaiti Bazaar of Vajeerganj police station late last night.
**Ongoing Arrests and Treatment**
The police have detained eight individuals for questioning in connection with the violent clash. Several injured individuals have been admitted to government hospitals for treatment. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused involved in the assault case. Local residents claim that the incident occurred last night, but tension still remains in the area.
