Bus passengers caught with alcohol from bag

During the festival of Holi, migrant workers returning home are now bringing alcohol to celebrate Holi with their families. A case like this has come to light from Darbhanga district in Bihar. In a bus coming from Delhi to Kusheshwarsthan, passengers raised suspicion on one traveler. Upon inspection of a bag, the driver and conductor found a large quantity of alcohol bottles and pouches. The driver then asked the passenger in question to disembark from the bus. The Darbhanga police have become vigilant upon this incident and are conducting thorough checks on buses coming from other states to the district.

Bihar being a state with prohibition on alcohol, where alcohol cannot be obtained legally, migrant workers returning from abroad are now bringing alcohol with them to celebrate Holi with their families without any hindrance.

According to reports, a bus coming from Delhi to Kusheshwarsthan in Darbhanga had alcohol seized from the luggage of a passenger. Passengers on the bus suspected something unusual in a bag and informed the bus driver and staff. The bus was then stopped, and upon searching the luggage, several bottles and pouches of alcohol were found. The passenger in question was then asked to disembark from the bus and the local police were informed. It remains to be seen how the Darbhanga police will handle such passengers.

In this case, DSP Amit Kumar mentioned that thorough checks are being conducted on vehicles due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the festival of Holi. Buses coming from outside are also being monitored. Additionally, police presence has been increased at all bus stands.
