DM Kapil Ashok’s Directive on School Activities

Patna DM Kapil Ashok has issued directives to all private and government school managements regarding educational activities. It has been instructed that educational activities for all classes up to 10th grade should be conducted until 10:30 am, while activities for classes 11 and 12 should be completed by 11:30 am.

Heatwave Warning in Patna

The Patna Weather Department has issued a heatwave warning in the capital city, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius. An orange alert has been issued in Patna and 16 other districts, with no relief from the heat expected until April 29th. District officials have instructed all schools in Patna to suspend operations during the afternoon hours to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Enforcement of Section 144 in Schools

DM Kapil Ashok has enforced Section 144 of the Patna Criminal Procedure Code in all schools in the district to protect children from the severe heatwave conditions. The directive mandates that all educational activities for classes up to 10th grade should be conducted from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, and activities for classes 11 and 12 should be restricted from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The order will be effective from April 26th and will remain in place until April 30, 2024.



पटना के जिलाधिकारी श्री कपिल अशोक ने सभी निजी और सरकारी विद्यालयों को शैक्षिक गतिविधियों के समय का पालन करने के लिए निर्देश दिया है। उन्होंने लू की चेतावनी जारी की है और 16 जिलों में ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया है। आगामी दिनों में 1-2 डिग्री तापमान में और वृद्धि की संभावना है। उन्होंने विद्यालयों को दोपहर के समय में बंद रखने का आदेश दिया है। यह आदेश 26 अप्रैल से लागू होगा और 30 अप्रैल 2024 तक प्रभावी रहेगा। इस दौरान मौसम विभाग ने भीषण गर्मी की चेतावनी दी है और लोगों से सुरक्षित रहने की अपील की है।
