Police Action in Chhattisgarh

The Piparwar Thana police in Chhattisgarh have dealt a major blow to the banned TSPC extremists by arresting four Naxal supporters. The police confiscated two American-made pistols, two magazines, 700 live bullets of 7.65 mm, various mobile phones used for ransom and extortion, and other items including Naxal propaganda leaflets aimed at spreading terror in the area.

Arrests and Background

The arrested extremists are all supporters of the TSPC and reside in the Tandwa and Piparwar Thana areas. They were preparing for extortion activities. The special team led by SDPO Prabhat Ranjan Barwar and Thana in-charge Prashant Mishra took action based on confidential information.

Previous Incidents

In the past, these Naxals, who were arrested in the surrounding districts including Koylanchal, had been intimidating coal traders, contractors, and people associated with development projects through extortion and threats. The police had been searching for these Naxals in several cases before this operation.

Continued Campaign Against Naxals

The arrested Naxals include Masi Tigga, Vifa Uranv, Vikas Uranv, and Kiran Nagarwal. The police have stated that these extremists were involved in trying to spread terror by setting fire to vehicles belonging to Jay Ambe Transport Company in Sengabilari village and Sri Enterprises Company in Jamdih. The police have assured that the anti-Naxal campaign will continue to be relentless.
