Various Political Parties Participating in Lok Sabha Elections in Jharkhand
When it comes to the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, apart from BJP, Congress, JMM, and AJSU, several other political parties have also been trying their luck. These parties include those that are either in power in neighboring states of Jharkhand or have been in power for a long time.
Performance of Major National and Regional Parties in Jharkhand
Parties like RJD from Bihar, TMC from West Bengal, AAP from Delhi and Punjab, SP and BSP from Uttar Pradesh, and Shiv Sena (UBTI) from Maharashtra have participated in elections in Jharkhand. Apart from RJD, the performance of other parties in Jharkhand has not been very promising. Political analysts in Jharkhand see these parties as vote cutters.
Decline in Vote Share of Neighboring States’ Parties
The total vote share of these major parties from neighboring states has decreased by half in the last 15 years. In 2004, the vote percentage was around 10.9, which increased to about 11 in 2009. However, in 2014, their total vote share dropped to 7.1 and in 2019, it reached around 4.7. This percentage is much lower than what national parties like BJP, Congress, or the largest regional party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha received.
Performance of Neighboring States’ Parties in Previous Lok Sabha Elections
In the Lok Sabha elections of 2004, only RJD from neighboring states performed well in Jharkhand. The party contested and won the elections in two seats of Palamu and Chatra. Other parties like BSP, JDU, SP, LJP, and Shiv Sena also contested on various seats but faced defeat in all of them. Similarly, in the 2009, 2014, and 2019 elections, all parties faced defeat on the seats they contested in Jharkhand.
लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए झारखंड में भाजपा, कांग्रेस, झामुमो और आजसू के अलावा कई राजनीतिक पार्टियां भी भाग ले रही हैं, जो सभी दलों के लिए चुनौतीपूर्ण साबित हो रहा है। इनमें से कुछ पार्टियां झारखंड के पड़ोसी राज्यों से हैं और उन्होंने अब तक चुनावों में सफलता पाने में मुश्किलें झेली हैं। इन पार्टियों का वोट शेयर भी 15 सालों में काफी गिरा है, जिससे उन्हें चुनाव में हार का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। झारखंड के राजनीतिक मामलों में इन पार्टियों को स्थिति सुधारने की जरुरत है।
