Amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Bihar, Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, has resigned from his post today. He submitted his resignation to the Governor at around 11 am this morning. Following his resignation, leaders from different parties have started giving their reactions. Tejpratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Yadav and former minister, launched a scathing attack on Nitish Kumar, while Rohini Acharya, Lalu Yadav’s daughter, also criticized the Chief Minister through a post on social media.
According to sources, a swearing-in ceremony could take place at the Governor’s House in Patna after 5 pm. There are reports that if Nitish Kumar becomes the Chief Minister again, two Deputy Chief Ministers from the BJP quota may be appointed. If Nitish Kumar takes over as the Chief Minister this time, it will be his 9th term in office.
