While cooking, keep a bucket of water and sand nearby to quickly douse any flames. Additionally, it is recommended to apply a layer of mud and cow dung around thatched huts to prevent any fire from spreading. By following these guidelines and being prepared, communities can minimize the risk of fire incidents in West Champaran.
