Anger erupts in Rangra village after discovery of woman’s body
On Sunday, the discovery of a woman’s body in Rangra village under the jurisdiction of Navgachhia police district in Bhagalpur led to people getting angry and causing a commotion. The police were informed about the incident and they reached the spot. The anger of the agitated people also turned towards the police, as they set fire to a police vehicle. Some local vehicles were also set on fire by the enraged individuals. The villagers allege that the woman had been missing for the past two days and her body was found on Sunday. The villagers have accused the police of negligence.
Heavy police force deployed in response to escalating situation
The tense situation in the village led to police forces from multiple stations rushing to the scene. Heavy police forces were deployed, and senior officials were also camping in the village. Some individuals have been taken into custody by the police. After much difficulty, the deceased’s family handed over the body to the police for postmortem examination. The body was taken to the hospital for postmortem, and a team from the FSL also arrived at the scene. To maintain peace, the entire area has been converted into a police camp.
