Bihar Witnessing Revolutionary Changes in School Education

In Bihar, significant revolutionary changes are being seen in school education. Due to the efforts of the Education Department, not only have the basic structures in schools been improved, but the trend of children dropping out of school has also been reduced to zero. The Education Department is specially preparing for the new academic session. According to departmental sources, strict monitoring will be done on teaching in 71,863 primary schools and 9,360 secondary schools in Bihar from April. Meanwhile, there are 17,600 teachers on the department’s radar who have been missing since taking their positions. The department has instructed relevant officials to expedite the search for these teachers and take legal action against them.

Principals to Provide Daily Academic Reports

The Education Department states that teachers who have been missing will first be penalized in the form of salary deductions, but those who have been missing for six months to two years will be recommended for dismissal. Not only will missing teachers face salary cuts, but their seniority will also be reduced. The service record of such teachers will mention irregular service and this will directly impact their salary increments and promotions. The Education Department is strict with teachers in this matter and is not showing any signs of leniency. It is mandatory for all schools to provide academic reports and information on other activities from April. The responsibility for this lies with the respective principals.

Job Termination for Those Missing for More Than Six Months
