Tragic Road Accident in Darbhanga: Three people were killed in a severe road accident in Darbhanga. The incident took place near Bajrang Chowk in the OP Khetra area of Badgaon. Late on Wednesday night, a speeding truck collided with a bike carrying three friends returning from a village. Two people died on the spot, while the third was admitted to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries. The incident caused a commotion in the area, with people demanding the arrest of the truck driver.
Head-on Collision between a Truck and a Bike: The accident occurred around 9 pm near Bajrang Chowk, when a truck and a bike collided with each other. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to the riders of the bike. The deceased have been identified as Mohd. Anwar, 20, and Mohd. Anzar, 27, residents of Asi village in the Ghanshyampur police station area. The third victim, Mohd. Farhan, 17, who was critically injured, also passed away during treatment at the hospital.
Protest and Traffic Jam: After the incident, angry locals staged a protest and caused a traffic jam. However, the situation was brought under control by the timely intervention of the authorities, who pacified the protesters and restored normal traffic. Mohd. Badrul, along with his two friends, was riding a bike from his in-laws’ place in Koathram to his village in Asi when the accident occurred. The police deployed a large number of forces, including officers from Kusheshwar and Biraul police stations, to maintain law and order at the scene. Compensation was announced by the Biraul Sub-Divisional Officer Umesh Kumar Bharti and SDPO Manish Chandra Choudhary, after which the crowd calmed down and the situation normalized.
