Severe heatwave affecting school-going students

Patna District Magistrate has directed all government and private schools in Patna to ban academic activities for all classes up to the 10th grade in free schools and Anganwadi centers from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm due to the severe heatwave and heatstroke. The directive is expected to be effective from April 20 and will continue until April 30. The District Magistrate has issued instructions to enforce Section 144 of the Patna Penal Code of 1973 on all schools in Patna. Copies of the directive have been issued to all government and non-government schools related to the education department.
