School Holiday for Elections in Uttar Pradesh
Residents of Uttar Pradesh (UP) should be aware that schools and colleges in eight districts will be closed on 26th April due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In addition to this, restrictions will be placed on liquor shops and private establishments. The District Election Commission has issued a holiday order in these districts, which includes Amroha, Meerut, Bagapat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura. Voting will take place in these districts under the second phase of the election.
Voting Details for Uttar Pradesh
According to the state election office, voting will be held on eight Lok Sabha seats of UP. Approximately 1 crore 67 lakh voters are eligible to vote in these constituencies. This includes 90.11 lakh men, 77.38 lakh women, and 787 other voters. A total of 7,797 voter centers and 17,677 polling stations have been established for this phase of elections. Voting will take place from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Notable Candidates for Second Phase
Among the notable candidates for this phase are Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in the popular serial Ramayana and is the BJP candidate from Meerut, Danish Ali of Congress from Amroha, Atul Garg of BJP from Ghaziabad, and Mahesh Sharma from Gautam Buddha Nagar seat. These are some of the key candidates in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Possible Election Outcomes
In the second phase of voting in UP, there is a possibility of a triangular contest between the NDA opposition alliance Bharatiya Janata Party and the BSP for the Lok Sabha seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the ruling BJP won 7 out of these eight seats, with the Amroha seat going to the BSP. The first phase of elections, held last Friday for 102 seats in 21 states and union territories, saw about 65.5 percent voter turnout. In UP, there are a total of 80 Lok Sabha seats and voting will be held in all seven phases.
उत्तर प्रदेश में आज, 26 अप्रैल को, आठ जिलों के स्कूल और कॉलेजों में छुट्ठी रहेगी और शराब की दुकानें और निजी संस्थान खुलेंगे। इन जिलों में वोटिंग के दिन को सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित किया गया है। इन आठों जिलों में मतदान कल होने जा रहा है और जिला चुनाव आयोग ने वहां छुट्टी का आदेश जारी किया है। आज यानी शुक्रवार को उत्तर प्रदेश की आठ लोकसभा सीटों पर दूसरे चरण में मतदान होगा। इनमें अमरोहा, मेरठ, बागपत, गाजियाबाद, गौतम बुद्ध नगर, बुलंदशहर, अलीगढ़ और मथुरा शामिल हैं। इन लोकसभा क्षेत्रों में कुल 1 करोड़ 67 लाख वोटर अपना मतदान करने के लिए पात्र हैं। इनमें 90.11 लाख पुरुष, 77.38 लाख महिलाएं और 787 अन्य मतदाता हैं। इस चरण के लिए कुल 7,797 मतदान केंद्र और 17,677 मतदान स्थल तैयार किए गए हैं। मतदान सुबह 7 बजे से शाम 6 बजे तक होगा। मेरठ में दूरदर्शन पर प्रसारित लोकप्रिय सीरियल रामायण में भगवान राम की भूमिका निभाने वाले अरुण गोविल को भाजपा ने अपने मूल क्षेत्र मेरठ से उम्मीदवार बनाया है। इसके अलावा, अमरोहा से कांग्रेस के दानिश अली, गाजियाबाद से भाजपा के अतुल गर्ग और गौतम बुद्ध नगर सीट से महेश शर्मा भी दूसरे चरण के लोकसभा चुनावों के प्रमुख उम्मीदवार हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश में दूसरे चरण के लिए कुल आठ सीटें हैं। वहां एनडीए विपक्षी गठबंधन भारतीय जनता पार्टी और बीएसपी के बीच त्रिकोणीय संघर्ष होने की संभावना है। 2019 के लोकसभा चुनावों में, सत्ताधारी भाजपा ने इन आठों सीटों में से सात प्राप्त की थीं, जबकि अमरोहा सीट बीएसपी को मिली थी। पिछले शुक्रवार को 21 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों की 102 सीटों के लिए सात चरणों में होने वाले चुनावों के पहले चरण में करीब 65.5 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था। उत्तर प्रदेश में कुल 80 लोकसभा सीटें हैं और यहां सभी सात चरणों में मतदान होगा।
