Seat Allocation in Bihar for Lok Sabha Elections
The seat allocation for Bihar in the Lok Sabha elections has been finalized in the NDA. The BJP and JDU have taken 17 and 16 seats respectively, while Chirag Paswan has been given 5 seats, and Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha have been allocated one seat each. Pashupati Kumar Paras did not receive any seats in the allocation and has decided to separate himself from the NDA, also resigning from the Modi cabinet.
Response from Amit Shah and JD(U) Alliance
Amit Shah has given his response to Pashupati Paras’ decision and also made a statement regarding the alliance with JD(U). During a leadership conclave ‘Rising Bihar 2024’ on Wednesday, Amit Shah mentioned that they are contesting the most seats ever in Bihar elections and there is no question of any compromise regarding Pashupati Paras.
Amit Shah’s Views on Achievements and Challenges
Amit Shah highlighted the achievements of the government in the last 10 years, including resolving long-standing issues like Article 370, Article 35A, construction of Ram Mandir, Baba Vishwanath corridor, ending triple talaq, bringing in CAA and UCC. He emphasized that these achievements have strengthened India’s internal security and will be remembered for years to come.
