Slow Progress of PM Awas Yojana in Bharat Kumar/Seetamadhi
In the urban areas of Bharat Kumar/Seetamadhi district, the pace of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme is quite slow. It is being discussed that the situation has arisen due to the negligence of the staff. After the formation of the municipal corporation, people expected the work to be done quickly and efficiently, but the opposite is happening. The beneficiaries of the new areas are also not receiving the benefits of the housing scheme.
Pressure to Expedite Construction of New Houses
During a board meeting, pressure was put on the municipal administration by the councilors to expedite the pending housing scheme work. As a result, the department has started requesting a list of approved new houses from the municipality. In the previous meeting, approval was given for 5000 new houses, and a reevaluation was requested to speed up the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. The municipal development and housing department officials have asked the municipal commissioner for a list of new houses to be constructed.
Challenges in Approving New Housing Applications
A list of beneficiaries excluded from the new urban housing scheme has been issued from the Dumra block office to the municipal corporation. Only 12 beneficiaries out of the total applications have been approved for housing and payment. Mayor Raunak Jahangir Parvez expressed concerns about the delays in the PM Housing Scheme due to the laxity of officials. The municipal commissioner, Pramod Kumar Pandey, mentioned that approval for new houses is possible only after resolving the pending cases. The lack of resources and housing officials is causing difficulties in the implementation of the scheme.
भारत कुमार/सीतामढ़ी के शहरी क्षेत्र में प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना की गति काफी धीमी है और इसकी वजह स्टाफ की लापरवाही है। नगर निगम गठन के बाद लोगों को उम्मीद थी की काम और तेज गति से होगा, लेकिन हो रहा है इसका उल्टा। नए क्षेत्र के लाभुकों को भी आवास योजना का लाभ नहीं मिल पा रहा है और आवास निर्माण कार्य और भुगतान लंबित है। नगर आयुक्त ने नए आवासों के निर्माण के लिए सूची की मांग की है और नगर विकास एवं आवास विभाग के निदेशक से भी इसकी मांग की गई है। इस स्थिति में निगम प्रशासन के लिए नए आवेदनों पर विचार कर नए आवासों के निर्माण के लिए सूची तैयार करने में समस्या आ रही है।
