Today, there is a possibility of light showers in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Vaishali, Saharsa, Madhepura, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, and Munger districts. Along with that, Bihar will be relieved from fog in the next five days. Currently, there is no alert issued regarding cold days in the upcoming days. The maximum temperature is estimated to be between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be between 08 to 10 degrees Celsius.

On December 31, Bihar had dry weather, with no signs of rainfall. There were no recorded cold days as well. The coldest night was recorded in Motihari at 5.2 degrees Celsius, while Khagaria recorded the highest minimum temperature at 13.4 degrees Celsius. The temperature in other districts ranged between 07 to 13 degrees Celsius.
