People in Begusarai are Embracing Solar Power
In one of the most polluted cities in the country, people in Begusarai district are leading the way in Bihar by opting for the Solar Home Plan. The Post Office in Begusarai is running a campaign to make the city a solar city. This initiative will not only save money and electricity for the beneficiaries but also contribute to environmental conservation. According to the Postal Department, more than 22,000 people in Khagaria and Begusarai districts have applied for the Central Government’s Solar Home Electricity Scheme.
Implementation of Model Code of Conduct affects Solar Home Plan Registration
The Model Code of Conduct is currently in place due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, affecting the registration process for the Solar Home Plan. The registration process for the scheme has been halted as soon as the Model Code of Conduct was implemented. The notification for this was issued by the Postal Department. Prior to this, postal workers visited households in the districts of Khagaria and Begusarai to complete the registration process within 20 days. Awareness camps were also set up in most neighborhoods to encourage people to connect to the Solar Home Electricity Scheme.
Government to Provide Subsidies for Solar Plants
The residents of Begusarai and Khagaria, among the most polluted cities, are actively preparing to save electricity, money, and the environment in Bihar. The Central Government is working on a plan to help you save money as well. According to Jawahar Bharadwaj, a channel partner of Breda, this grid system plan will be a boon for areas without electricity. Consumers have registered for solar plants ranging from one to three kilowatts under the Solar Home Electricity Scheme. Those who register will also receive subsidies from the government to install solar plants. Work will be carried out according to the directives received at the departmental level.
