Subhash Yadav taken into judicial custody until March 24
Subhash Yadav, a close associate of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, was taken into judicial custody until March 24 in connection with an illegal sand mining and sale case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team arrested Subhash Yadav on the night of March 9 in relation to the PMLEA case. During a raid, approximately 2.37 crore rupees were recovered from the premises of Subhash Yadav and his close associates. After questioning, the ED team arrested Subhash Yadav and sent him to Beur jail. An order has now been issued to keep him in judicial custody until March 24.
Team had to procure a cash counting machine
The ED team received complaints of illegal sand business and money laundering against Subhash Yadav. After investigation, the team conducted raids at eight locations of Subhash Yadav, including Danapur and Takia areas in Patna. The team was shocked to see such a large amount of cash during the raid and had to procure a cash counting machine to count the money.
RJD had given Subhash Yadav a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections
Subhash Yadav, who is involved in the sand business, was given a ticket by RJD from Chatra Lok Sabha in Jharkhand in 2019. However, he faced defeat in that election. In 2018, a year before the elections, Income Tax conducted raids at several locations of Subhash Yadav, including Delhi, Dhanbad, and Patna.
