Success Story of Tanu, Purnia District Topper
The Bihar Board recently released the 10th grade exam results, where many students excelled. Among them was Tanu, who became the district topper of Purnia and brought glory to the entire district. Tanu, in an interview with Local 18, shared the struggles she faced, including her mother’s operation in January, which added to the financial difficulties of her family.
Challenges Faced by Tanu
Tanu described living in a small 8×10 room with her parents and siblings, where they all slept together due to space constraints. Despite facing financial challenges and scoring slightly lower in the Science exam, Tanu managed to secure 477 out of 500 marks, becoming the district topper. She balanced her studies with 7-8 hours of work daily and received tuition from Ashish Raj, despite her father not being able to afford regular tuition.
Support and Dreams for the Future
Tanu’s family, including her father Rajesh Kumar, who provides local tuition, and her mother Anjani Devi, expressed joy and pride in her success. Tanu’s dream is to become a Civil Services Collector, for which she has already started preparing. Her dedication to studies and the support of her family have been crucial in her journey towards success.
