Read on the app, people in Jharkhand are suddenly falling ill due to the changing weather. There is a significant difference of 07 to 18 degrees between the maximum and minimum temperatures within a week. People are feeling the heat during the day while experiencing cold chills in the morning and evening. On March 9th, the maximum temperature was 26.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 10.8 degrees Celsius.

Due to the heat, people are using sweaters less frequently and are using fans at night. This has led to an increase in the prevalence of diseases such as cold, cough, fever, sore throat, and cough. The OPD of MGM and Sadar hospitals have seen a rise in patients with seasonal illnesses. On Saturday, a total of 342 patients were treated in the Medicine department of MGM OPD, with more than half of them suffering from seasonal illnesses. Similarly, in Sadar hospital, 190 people received treatment in the Medicine OPD, with 109 patients suffering from cold, cough, throat pain, and headache.

According to the Director of MGM, Dr. Ravi Kumar, the hospital is fully prepared to deal with seasonal illnesses. Currently, there is an adequate supply of medicines for all types of diseases, including cold, cough, viral fever, and others.

Using a fan at night can be dangerous as there are fluctuations in the weather. Children can be particularly affected as their immune system is weaker. Using a fan can lead to infections in the throat. This weather can be dangerous for individuals with asthma and heart diseases. It is advised to wear enough warm clothing, especially during morning walks.
