Supreme Court to hear the petition of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on April 1st. The case has been listed for hearing in the court of Justice Suryakant Dwivedi and Justice KV Vishwanathan. Hemant Soren has challenged the order of the Jharkhand High Court which denied him permission to participate in the legislative session.

In his petition filed in the Supreme Court, Hemant Soren argues that incarcerated representatives are allowed to participate in sessions. Orders from the High Court and the ED Court related to this matter were also presented, but the High Court did not accept his petition, leading to his inability to address the issues of his constituency. He has urged the Supreme Court to overturn the High Court’s decision.

Following the issuance of 10 summons, Hemant Soren was arrested by the ED on January 31st. Subsequently, he handed over the reins of the government to Champai Soren. During the trust vote, Hemant was present in the assembly session, but was prevented from attending the budget session by the ED. Disheartened by the High Court’s decision, he has now challenged it in the Supreme Court.

It is important to note that after being arrested by the ED, Hemant Soren handed over the government to Champai Soren. During the no-confidence motion, Hemant participated in the assembly session but was stopped from attending the budget session by the ED. Disappointed by the High Court’s ruling, he has now challenged it in the Supreme Court.
