Delicious Peda in Samastipur

Located in the Kariyan village of Samastipur district, the pedas made here are known for their unique taste. Made from pure milk and khoya, these pedas are in high demand during festivals. The shopkeepers often struggle to keep up with the demand, selling around 50-55 kilograms of pedas daily. The demand for these pedas extends all the way to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and even Dubai.

Traditional Taste That Lasts

The shop’s pedas are known for their long shelf life due to their purity. The taste of the pedas made here remains unchanged for a month, making them a favorite among locals. The tradition of making pedas in this shop dates back 70 years when the owner’s father started the business. Today, they sell 50-55 kilograms of pedas daily with ease, thanks to their commitment to quality.

Popular Among Pilgrims

During the month of Shravan, pilgrims passing through the area often stop at the shop to purchase pedas. The pedas without sugar are sold at ₹400 per kilogram, while those made with sugar are priced at ₹350 per kilogram. The shop’s pedas are a favorite among pilgrims from Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Samastipur districts, with sales exceeding one quintal per day during peak seasons.
