Tejashwi Yadav releases manifesto for Lok Sabha elections 2024

Former Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav’s younger son and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has released the manifesto of the Rashtriya Janata Dal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. He addressed a press conference at the RJD office along with other party leaders and issued a statement. Tejashwi Yadav has promised 24 pledges for the people of the country. He criticized the Prime Minister for not paying attention to issues like employment, inflation, poverty, and unemployment. Tejashwi questioned the PM’s track record in Bihar over the past 10 years and accused him of not fulfilling his promises.

Promise of one crore government jobs if the Grand Alliance comes to power

Tejashwi Yadav made a big announcement stating that if the Grand Alliance forms the government, one crore government jobs will be provided across the country. Currently, there are 30 lakh vacant positions that will be filled, and an additional 70 lakh jobs will be created. He emphasized that job creation and unemployment are major concerns and criticized the BJP for failing to deliver on their promise of two crore jobs annually. The job application process will begin from August 15.

Free electricity for 200 units and other welfare measures

Tejashwi Yadav also announced that under the upcoming alliance, one lakh underprivileged women in the country will receive financial assistance. Additionally, the price of a gas cylinder will be fixed at 500 rupees nationwide. He mentioned the termination of the Agniveer scheme and promised free electricity for 200 units in Bihar. The state will also be granted special status and receive a special package of 1.6 lakh crores. Tejashwi Yadav assured the implementation of an old-age pension scheme if his government comes to power.
