Weather Update: Rain and Snowfall Alert in Several States
The weather has once again changed its mood with rain and snowfall in many states of the country. The weather department has issued alerts for rain and hailstorms in several districts, including Patna. This has brought back the chill and people are experiencing light rain in many parts of the state since Monday morning. The weather department predicts that the rain will continue for the next three days.
Warning of Rain and Wind in Bihar
The weather has changed again in North India. People’s daily lives have been affected by snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plains. People in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar are struggling with the cold. According to the weather department, this change is due to the western disturbances. The weather department has issued warnings of rain and wind in several parts of Bihar. There is also a possibility of hailstorms. According to Skymet’s prediction, jet streams are moving over North India at a height of 12.6 kilometers above sea level, causing this change in weather.
Yellow Alert for Rain in These Districts
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for rain and thunderstorms in Patna, as well as in East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Buxar, Bhojpur, Begusarai, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, and Nawada districts of Bihar. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to heavy rain in several parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana. Light rain is also possible in some parts of Punjab, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland. There is a chance of light to very light rain in one or two places in Kerala. According to IMD’s forecast, there are chances of rain in Patna until February 6th and 7th.
Drop in Temperature Due to Cold Winds
The western disturbance is active in North India, resulting in light rain in several districts, including Patna. The weather will continue like this for the next three days. After February 6th, cold winds may lead to a drop in minimum temperatures. In Patna, the minimum temperature will be between 12 and 13 degrees Celsius from February 4th to 6th. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius. After that, there will be a drop in minimum temperatures. After February 7th, the cold may increase again in the state. According to IMD’s forecast, there will be a drop in minimum temperatures from February 7th, and fog will be present on February 8th and 9th.
