Tragic Accident in Bhojpur

In a tragic incident in Bhojpur, a vegetable vendor returning home was crushed by a high-velocity truck, resulting in his untimely death at the accident site. Enraged by the incident, locals blocked the road and vandalized several sand-laden trucks, setting one truck on fire. The incident took place in the Piro Bazaar area of the Piro Thana region.

Protest and Chaos

According to local residents, the victim, identified as Baleshwar Ram from Masrahiya Tola in the Piro Thana area, was returning home after selling vegetables when he was hit by a speeding high-velocity truck, leading to his tragic demise. Following the incident, agitated individuals began protesting by blocking the road and vandalizing trucks, eventually setting one truck on fire, escalating the situation.

Police Investigation

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the scene where tensions were high. The police summoned reinforcements, including several police stations and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from Piro, to control the situation. After strenuous efforts, the police managed to disperse the protesters using mild force.

Police Response

Piro DSP Rahul Singh confirmed that the accident resulted in the death of a cyclist vegetable vendor and sparked outrage among the rural population, leading to vandalism and setting a truck on fire. The police promptly arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control, calling the fire brigade to extinguish the burning truck. Further investigation and actions are being carried out by the police.
