Re-voting underway at two polling centers

Re-voting is being conducted at two polling centers in Khagaria. The district administration has ensured tight security arrangements for the voting process. Voters were seen lining up since Friday morning to cast their votes for their preferred candidates. The voting is taking place in Sahraon village in the Beldaur block, with booth numbers 182 and 183 set up for the process. Half of the booths are being manned by paramilitary forces along with Bihar Police personnel.

Voting could not take place after the clash

During the third phase of voting on May 7th in Sahraon village in Beldaur block of Khagaria district, a clash broke out between two groups. The situation turned chaotic until it was revealed that EVMs were damaged and voting could not take place that day. The residents of Sahraon village had boycotted voting due to their demands. However, on Thursday, senior officials from the district administration visited the village, convinced the people, and the rural voting process was accepted.

Voting conducted in a peaceful environment

Khagaria DM Amit Kumar Pandey stated that re-voting is being conducted at two booths in a peaceful environment. He appealed to the villagers to exercise their voting rights in large numbers. The voting process is being conducted in a peaceful atmosphere to ensure a smooth election process.



खगड़िया के दो मतदान केंद्रों पर फिर से मतदान कराया जा रहा है। जिला प्रशासन ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को मजबूत किया है और अर्द्ध सैनिक बल और बिहार पुलिस के जवानों को भी तैनात किया है। एक झड़प के बाद जो मतदान रोक दिया गया था, उसे अंजाम देने के लिए यह पुनः कराया जा रहा है। खगड़िया डीएम ने ग्रामीणों से अपील की है कि वे अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करें।
