Jharkhand Weather Warning
The weather department has issued a warning for increasing heat in various parts of Jharkhand, including the capital, until April 22nd. Ranchi is expected to reach a maximum temperature of around 40 degrees, while the minimum temperature could also reach 26 degrees. Yellow alerts have been issued for the next three days for heatwaves in the Kolhan, Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Santal Pargana districts of northern Chotanagpur.
Heatwave Alerts
The Meteorological Department has advised people in the state to take precautions to avoid heatwaves. In the past 24 hours, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature increase of nearly three degrees, reaching 38.4 degrees. The minimum temperature was also three degrees higher than normal at 24.6 degrees in Ranchi and other parts of the state.
Yellow Alerts
Yellow alerts have been issued for Saraykela, Purbi and Pashchimi Singhbhum, and Bokaro and Dhanbad in northern Chotanagpur on April 20th and 21st. On April 22nd, alerts have been issued for Saraykela, Purbi and Pashchimi Singhbhum, and Santal’s Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Sahibganj districts. On April 23rd, there is a yellow alert for rain with thunderstorms in the southern parts of the state and surrounding areas.
Jharkhand Temperature Data
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in 11 districts of Jharkhand have crossed 40 degrees. Jamshedpur and Medininagar recorded a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees. The temperature in Pakur and Godda districts of Santal has also reached around 43 degrees. Ranchi Meteorological Department’s scientist Abhishek Anand stated that heatwave alerts have been issued for the next three days in Kolhan, Santal, and northern Chotanagpur districts.
