Continuous Water Crisis in Urban Areas
The problem of water crisis in urban areas of Bhagalpur is continuously increasing. People struggling with water scarcity are quite distressed. Many neighborhoods are not receiving water supply from the municipal corporation. As a result, people are forced to bring water from other neighborhoods. However, the municipal administration is not paying attention to this issue. The situation in many neighborhoods has become so bad that water needs to be brought from afar, causing inconvenience.
Residents Distressed by Negligence of Municipal Corporation
The lazy attitude of the municipal corporation is causing distress to the residents. When residents of Barari Mohalla were contacted, they mentioned that despite being close to the Ganges, the water situation is poor. Similarly, residents near Jyoti Vihar mentioned that although connections were provided under the pipeline-water scheme, no water comes through the pipes. This has created a major problem regarding water supply, forcing people to wander in search of water.
Water Supply through Tankers and New Pipeline Connections
When Mayor Dr. Basundhara Lal was approached regarding the water crisis, he mentioned that continuous efforts are being made to ensure that people do not face any difficulties. If there is a water problem anywhere, the corporation will send a tanker there to provide relief. Residents can also visit the municipal office to report water issues in their area, and necessary steps will be taken to resolve them. Additionally, a new pipeline is being constructed in Barari, which will be connected to the main channel of the Ganges to eliminate the water crisis.
भागलपुर शहरी क्षेत्र में जल संकट की समस्या लगातार बनी हुई है। नगर निगम का पानी कुछ मोहल्लों तक पहुंच नहीं पा रहा है और लोग दूसरे मोहल्ले से पानी लाने को मजबूर हैं। नगर निगम प्रशासन की उपेक्षा के कारण कई मोहल्लों में पानी की स्थिति बेहाल हो गई है। मेयर डॉ. बसुंधरा लाल ने वादा किया है कि इस समस्या का समाधान किया जाएगा और टैंकर के माध्यम से पानी मुहल्लों में पहुंचाया जाएगा। इसके अलावा, नया इंटकवेल भी बनाया जा रहा है जिससे पानी की समस्या को दूर किया जा सकेगा। गंगा के मुख्य धारा से जोड़ने के बाद पानी की समस्या को खत्म किया जाएगा।
