Weather Update in Northern India
The weather in northern India has taken a turn with snowfall in the mountains affecting the plains. Delhi-NCR has experienced a sudden drop in temperature and strong winds, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh are experiencing showers. The IMD has forecasted light to moderate rain in these states along with thunderstorms.
Predictions by the Weather Department
The IMD has predicted thunderstorms with lightning and moderate rain in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and northern Maharashtra in the next 2-3 hours. Bhopal, Vidisha, Jabalpur, and other districts in Madhya Pradesh are expected to witness thunderstorms and rain with winds reaching 50-70 km/h. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR will experience clear skies today.

According to Skymet Weather, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, southern Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, and Bengal may experience lightning, thunderstorms, and light to moderate rainfall with winds up to 30-40 km/h. Light rain and snowfall are also expected in parts of the Western Himalayas. Light showers are possible in Kerala and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Various regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, southern Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha have already experienced rain and snowfall.
