Low Participation of Women in Voting

The All India Consumer Council Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee organized an event to raise awareness about the low participation of women in voting during Lok Sabha elections. The event aimed to highlight the importance of women’s participation in the democratic process and encourage them to exercise their right to vote.

Empowering Women as Consumers

The event also focused on empowering women as consumers and educating them about their rights. Many women in India are unaware of their consumer rights and are often exploited by sellers. The committee emphasized the need for women to be informed consumers and make responsible purchasing decisions.

Role of Women in Nation Building

The committee highlighted the crucial role of women in nation-building and stressed the importance of their active participation in political processes. Women make up a significant portion of the population and their voices and opinions are essential in shaping policies and decisions that affect the entire nation.

Encouraging Women to Vote

Overall, the event aimed to encourage women to actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by exercising their right to vote. By increasing women’s awareness about the importance of voting and empowering them as consumers, the committee hopes to see a higher turnout of women at polling booths and a more inclusive and representative democratic process.
