He went missing on the morning of March 22 after leaving for coaching and did not return home. His family filed a complaint at the Rajgir police station after unsuccessful attempts to locate him.
**Brutal Murder and Investigation:**
According to the deceased’s uncle, the police took prompt action and found that the deceased youth’s friends had demanded a ransom of 10 lakh rupees from his family over the phone. When the ransom was not paid, they threatened to harm him. Subsequently, the police detained a youth for questioning and discovered that the deceased, Gaurav, had been brutally murdered by Shubham, the son of a family member, in a room under the pretext of a party.

The police investigation revealed that Gaurav was first beaten mercilessly, had his hands and legs broken, his eyes gouged out, and his throat strangled before being thrown away.
